A Prayer

This is not my prayer, I did not come up with it.  Somebody came up with this one so long ago that it eludes my brief search.
Regardless, it's recital this morning is prudent.

Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

or a shorter personal version.
O'Lord lift me up, support me in my hour of need,
St. Michael please protect me from the snares of the evil in this sinful world.
Amen.
